I chose to study Japanese because I think it is a very beautiful country. When I visited with friends a year ago, I saw ancient temples, travelled by Shinkansen, and saw the beautiful beaches and mountains. I love the food, especially takoyaki and soft mochi and katsudon. I also like anime, like the Boy and the Beast（バケモノの子）, Natsume’s Book of Friends （夏目友人蝶）, and Baccano （バッかーノ）. I also felt very comfortable there; it is very safe, the people are extremely nice, and it was easy to travel on the subway, train, and bus. I really want to go back to Japan and explore more of it! But it’s a very difficult language to learn. I have a really hard time with the particles, and also with speaking because I lack confidence and get very nervous. But I am improving as I learn more and become more confident. I hope to go back to Japan soon!
